Humans and Science is an initiative started by SciSection Media Group based in Hamilton, Ontario. Our interviews shed light on the life of professors, researchers, and humans who are involved in or passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Our goal is to highlight all the amazing scientific research that is taking place across the world, through simple and understandable conversations with professors and researchers. As well, we aim to show students that every success story in science has had its ups and downs. Whether personal or professional, challenges only make one grow to become a better person each and every day.
Our team of journalists consists of members from University of Toronto, McMaster University, York University, and more. Our team works hard to provide you with the transcripts of all our interviews which are broadcasted on CFMU 93.3 FM radio station, as well as global podcast platforms, and iHeartRadio.
The inspiration behind our website's name 'Humans and Science' comes from 'Humans of New York'. According to Wikipedia, Humans of New York is a photoblog and book of street portraits and interviews collected on the streets of New York City. Started in November 2010 by photographer Brandon Stanton, Humans of New York has developed a large following through social media.
